NHS quality indicators published

25th June 2009

New 'quality indicators' which will be used to measure the performance of NHS community services have been published by the government.

The Quality Framework Guidance for Community Services outlines more than 70 measures, covering areas such as health outcomes, waiting times and perceived quality of life with the indicators intended to measure the quality and value of community services. The Department of Health has also launched six guides to improving community services covering areas such as health and wellbeing, acute care closer to home and end-of-life care.
