NHS risk warning

28th March 2012

A leaked document has warned that rising costs of GP care and poorer response to health emergencies are some of the risks of the ongoing NHS shake-up.

A draft risk register – which the government has not published despite a ruling from the Information Commissioner - has found a high chance of dangers such as a loss of financial control from the health bill. The Department of Health has not responded to the claims, saying that it does not comment on leaks.
