NHS Scotland's CE stepping down

Kevin Woods, the chief executive of the NHS in Scotland is to step down from his post early next year to take up the equivalent job in New Zealand.

Dr Woods, has been in post since January 2005, said he had very much enjoyed his time in the Scottish Government and thanked colleagues throughout the organisation for their support. Health secretary Nicola Sturgeon paid tribute to Dr Woods "for driving forward improvements in the NHS through his leadership, hard work and dedication".
