NHS shared services taken over by Serco

The Serco Group has taken over the contract for one of the largest NHS shared services organisations in the country.

It has started operating the Anglia Support Partnership (ASP), which provides IT services, operational support and facilities management to NHS trusts in the East of England and 50 other public and private organisations. To date, ASP has been operated by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust, together with a five partnering NHS organisations, employing 620 members of staff who will transfer to the new provider.
