Norovirus shuts wards at RUH

18th February 2010

The Royal United Hospital in Bath has closed six wards due to an outbreak of the norovirus infection.

The RUH has declined to identify which wards are affected but has instead put up signs at the entrances of the hospital asking visitors to report to the main reception to check whether they can go to a particular ward. It has also urged people to stay away to help avoid the spread of the winter vomiting bug.
