Nurse made up qualifications

23rd April 2012

A 45-year-old woman has been given a prison sentence and struck off after admitting to forging healthcare qualifications in order to get a £50,000 a year job.

Susan Kelly headed a team of carers at an NHS walk-in centre after lying about having a degree. The conduct and competence committee panel at an investigation into the fraud said: "Mrs Kelly failed in her duties as a nurse and her dishonest conduct failed to uphold the standards of conduct and behaviour that the public would expect from a registrant."
