Nurses and midwives asked to take part in bike ride

14th March 2011

The organisation Doctors of the World UK has asked midwives and nurses to think about taking part in the London to Paris 2011 bicycle ride.

The event raises money which allows medical treatment to be provided to people in need, such as those affected by natural disasters. Dr Davina Sharma, who took part in the 2010 London to Paris ride, said: "I have so many great memories but finishing in Paris was the perfect way to end.  I really felt quite emotional by the end of it all. I was so pleased I was able to support Doctors of the World and their vital work; it is a great and important charity."
