Online contraception checker launched by NHS Direct

An online contraception checking website built by NHS Direct with the aim of helping patients choose the right method for them has gone live.

The website will handle questions about contraception including how it is affected by different medicines and what to do when it fails. The user's identity is never revealed which is hoped will attract people who would otherwise not get in touch with NHS Direct.
