Oregano 'powerful weapon' against prostate cancer

Scientists at Long Island University in New York have suggested that oregano, which is commonly used as a seasoning in pizza and other Italian food, has the potential to become a powerful weapon against prostate cancer with a medicine inspired by it showing fewer side-effects than existing treatments which can cause incontinence and impotence.

However, Margaret Rayman, a professor of nutritional medicine at Surrey University and who has compiled a cookbook of recipes designed to keep prostate cancer at bay, said that much more work needs to be done.
