Osteoporosis screening trial

Over ten thousand women will be participants in a screening trial which is designed to review and inform changes in diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.

In excess of 11,000 women will take part in the £4.13 million trial, which will last seven years. The trial to investigate the bone disease has received funding from the Medical Research Council and the Arthritis Research Campaign.
