Patient records put on bedside terminals

4th March 2009

The Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is planning to introduce a system that will enable medics to view patient’s medical records via the hospital’s beside interactive system.

The system will also be used by patients for entertainment purposes as well as for clinicians to view their records in real time and is being supported by the hospital’s charity, the Children’s Hospital Charity. Quest Software and ANS Group have delivered a virtual desktop, which will serve up to 2,000 named users.
