Patients given wrong appointments24th April 2008
Connecting for Health has confirmed that hundreds of patients were given the wrong appointment through Choose and Book because of a glitch in the software.
It resulted in some patients being given other patients’ appointments, meaning the time, clinic and the consultant they were due to see were wrong. Because of the problem, Connecting for Health has had to delay the release of the updated Choose and Book software (release 4.0) needed to support free choice where patients are entitled to choose to have their appointment with any appropriate provider in the country.
