Patients opposed to plans over GP dispensing24th November 2008
A survey by the Dispensing Doctors' Association has found the vast majority of patients want to be able to collect their medication from their GP.
Of the 6,000 patients surveyed 89% said they wanted to have the choice of picking up their medication from their local surgery. DDA chief executive Dr David Baker said: "I welcome these findings which reflect the high level of support for GP dispensing among our patients. All patients deserve a health service that is safe and efficient, but also convenient and stress-free."
