People can be fat and fit

New research has suggested that people can be obese yet physically healthy and fit and at no greater risk of heart disease or cancer than normal weight people.

The British Heart Foundation - responding to the University of South Carolina study published in the European Heart Journal - said the research was a reminder that it was not always the weight that is important, but where people carry fat and also how it affects your health and fitness, though it stressed that obesity remained an undeniable risk factor for developing coronary heart disease.
