Permanent chief exec at Imperial

23rd February 2012

Imperial College Healthcare Trust now has appointed interim chief executive Mark Davies in a permanent capacity.

He has been in the interim role at the troubled NHS organisation since last May and has already reshaped Imperial’s management team. The projected year-end deficit for the trust, which has a turnover of £932m, has fallen from £35m to £19m but it still remains one of the biggest in the country. The trust said Mr Davies is now being paid on an NHS contract, rather than through a private company as before.
