Peter Homa appointment

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust has announced the appointment of a new chief executive to lead one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK. The trust has appointed Dr Peter Homa, Chief Executive of St George’s Healthcare NHS Trust in London, to become its chief executive from 31st July 2006.

Peter joined St George’s in November 2003. He was previously Chief Executive of the Commission for Health Improvement, Chief Executive of the Leicester Royal Infirmary and, many years previously, a hospital porter at St James Hospital in Balham. He was awarded the CBE for services to healthcare in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2000.
