Police based mental health staff

In a bid to cut reoffending, 10 areas of England are piloting a scheme where mental health nurses are based in police stations and courts.


Nurses' duties will include helping police identify those who have mental health problems.

The scheme, costing £25m, could be extended England-wide by 2017.
