Polyclinics election battle

21st April 2010

Two Tory candidates in North London have said they will fight to save local GPs from being swallowed up by larger polyclinics.

Harshadbhai Patel, candidate for Brent North, North London, said: "I will work to ensure that GP surgeries are kept open in Brent so patients can continue to see the GPs that they are used to, rather than having to go to large impersonal polyclinics which are likely to be rolled out." Another Conservative candidate, Sachin Rajput, has said he will also protest against polyclinics.
