Practices must be online by 2015

14th November 2012

NHS boss David Nicholson has warned GPs they need to “get on” with meeting online access plans.

Speaking at the launch on the NHS Mandate, in which the Government set out the objectives for the NHS Commissioning Board for next two years, he said everyone should be able to talk to their GP, order repeat prescriptions and book appointments online by 2015. Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said the plans laid to rest “the ghosts of the failures of Labour’s IT projects.”
