Pregnancy figures soar

18th December 2007

Doctors have recommended that condoms should be provided free of charge in taxis, clubs and bars to aid people in stopping unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases after a night of heavy drinking.

A research team working at Southampton University, St Mary's Hospital, Portsmouth, and Southampton General Hospital, found that the "majority of attendees at a typical STI clinic" were binge drinkers.
