Problems with Liverpool Care Pathway

Doctors have admitted there are problems with the Liverpool Care Pathway which allows withdrawal of treatment in the last days of life.

Members of the British Medical Association have said because of financial incentives offered to hospitals, patients have been placed on the Liverpool Care Pathway when it has not been appropriate.
