Pupils happier in the north

9th January 2009

A study carried out by Ofsted has found that the happiest school children live in the north of England.

It polled 150,000 children and teenagers aged between 10-15 years of age. School children in inner London had the lowest levels of drug and alcohol abuse. Pupils in Merseyside had the highest levels of "emotional well-being".
