PwC wins contract to help authorise CCGs

6th June 2012

The NHS Commissioning Board has awarded accountancy firm PwC a £3.4m contract to help with the assessment and authorisation of prospective clinical commissioning groups.

The contract will cover document assessment, assessor training, support to the moderation stage of authorisation and evaluation of the authorisation process, and to provide independent members for the panel visits, as the NHS CB goes through the task of reviewing and making a decision about 212 CCGs before January. PwC will also advise on whether a uniform approach is being applied across the country.
