Real time satisfaction assessments for hospitals

Health secretary Alan Johnson has said that he wants to see NHS trusts collecting "immediate feedback" from patients on their experience of care.

The Department of Health indicated that trusts might decide to use hand-held devices and highlighted Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s which has experience of using the Patient Experience Tracker developed by Dr Foster Intelligence. The electronic surveying tool in wards and departments allows patients to provide instant feedback on their experience on areas such as privacy, dignity and staff attitude.
