School nursing programme developed

17th May 2011

The Department of Health is putting the finishing touches on a development programme for nurses in schools.

A DH spokeswoman told Nursing Times it was "currently finalising the elements" of a development programme for school nursing. She said that the programme would incorporate a "service vision" which set out school nurses' roles in public health, their roles with pupils and within "the school as a community".
