Since Nurses are an indispensable part of the medical care system, the anticipated shortage of 42K nurses by 2020, if left to actually occur, will surely adversely affect the system. It is to be hoped that, if the analysis is realistic at least to some extent, steps will be taken to offset the expected shortage.
