Solent looking to spend £70m on ICT
30th October 2012Solent NHS Trust is planning on spending from £40 to £70 million to replace two health informatics services.
The trust published a tender notice in the Official Journal of the European Union which showed it planned to spend up to £70 million on a seven year ICT contract. The tender document said: "Following a number of service improvement initiatives which did not return the desired outcome, the trust has decided to seek a new external supplier for the future provision of ICT infrastructure services and support. Notice has been served on both of the current ICT service providers, and there is the need for a swift procurement of a new supplier to ensure continuity of ICT services over the next 12 months."
