South west NHS staff could have pay cut

1st June 2012

Concerns have been raised that the introduction of regional pay could see thousands of NHS staff in south west England working longer hours for less pay.

A leaked document has revealed the plans from the South West Pay, Terms and Conditions Consortium, with the area among the first to have changes introduced under government proposals to introduce regional pay for public sector workers. The Royal College of Nursing has reacted angrily to the pmove and said it would rather the NHS trusts worked in partnership with them and other trade unions.
