Southern ambulance trusts wait approval

Four southern ambulance trusts look set to get new IT systems, subject to approval from the Department of Health and the Cabinet Office.

The trusts involved are South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust; South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust; Great Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust; and the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust with the programme being led by NHS South Central strategic health authority chief information officer Bill McAvoy. It is one of four parts to the Southern Local Clinical Systems programme.
