Stair-climbing for fitness

New guidelines published by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence encourage councils to ensure stairs are "attractive and well signposted" in order to get people to take more exercise.

NICE said that NHS organisations, councils and others should design buildings and places which would "boost physical activity".
