Stroke video launched on YouTube

24th February 2009

A Suffolk doctor has created an online video to highlight the importance of early treatment and hospital referral for people suspected of having a stroke.

Dr John Havard, a GP, came up with the idea for the video and created it in collaboration with a patient who designed the graphics and animation. The video, which is available on YouTube, shows TIAs as "as shot across the bows of the brain" before they develop into "a full-blown stroke".
