Tackling mental health stigma

11th October 2011

Paul Burstow, the Care Services Minister, promoted the Time to Change campaign by visiting Duke McKenzie's fitness centre in Crystal Palace.

The campaign, which works to wipe out mental health stigma, is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness. The government is joining up with Comic Relief with funds of up to £20 million to support the campaign. Time to Change has directed people with mental health issues to the fitness centre, where they have learned skills to improve their confidence and mental health.
