Take care in the sun warning

9th May 2008

Cancer Research UK has urged British holidaymakers to pay special attention to their skincare when they visit sunny destinations.

Skin cancer rates are increasing in the UK, with 2,300 people dying from the disease annually.  The charity's director of cancer information, Dr Lesley Walker, said: "Cancer Research UK advises that people should always avoid sunburn and take particular care to cover up when holidaying abroad in hot climates."
