Takeaway warning

16th May 2008

A UK study has found that people who eat takeaway food may be consuming more than their daily allowance of fat and salt in a single meal.

148 takeaway meals were studied by scientists from Hampshire County Council. 86% of the meals would receive a red label "under the Food Standards Agency (FSA) traffic light system" and over three-quarters would have a red label for high salt levels.
