Tax breaks for healthy people

15th September 2008

The Liberal Democrats' health spokesman has said that people in the UK should be allowed "tax breaks" if they lived a healthy lifestyle.

Norman Lamb told a press briefing in Bournemouth: "You have got to find a way to incentivise better health. You could, for instance, have a card which you swipe whenever you take part in regular screenings or when you take part in physical exercise."
