Tipton closer to £8.2m centre

28th June 2007

Tipton's £8.2m Glebefields health centre may soon be built, following approval by Sandwell Primary Care Trust.

The local authority have yet to give planning approval, but the build is expected to start in 2008 on a site near St Mark's Road. The centre will contain three GP surgeries and a wide range of primary care services. The build will be the largest undertaken to date by the Sandwell LIFT company. Richard Nugent, chair of Sandwell PCT, said: “This is great news for local patients. This new facility is set to provide better access to a range of community health services."
