Trampoline safety being ignored

28th September 2009

Researchers at Kingston Hospital say that they have seen an increase in the number of children being treated for trampoline accidents.

From May to September 2008, doctors treated 130 children for injuries they received while trampolining. Dr Dan Harris, who headed the study, said: "It's difficult because I can see lots of trampolines in gardens in the Kingston area and clearly only a small percentage of the children are getting injured but some of those injuries are life-changing fractures which will cause continual joint problems."
