Trust's treatment questioned

22nd April 2008

Cornwall Primary Care Trust (PCT) has said it will investigate the treatment of a rape victim who was informed he was "too grubby" to be given treatment.

The trust was criticised for how it dealt with the victim, with prosecutors at Exeter Crown Court said he had been "abominably" treated by the NHS following the attack. The trust said treatment was "based on need rather than personal circumstances".
