Two PCTs go live with 111 number

29th November 2010

Two primary care trusts have launched the new 111 telephone service to provide people in the region with non-emergency care.

NHS Nottingham City and NHS Lincolnshire follow County Durham and Darlington's launch in August this year, with NHS Luton set to launch soon. Jackie Shears, Head of NHS Pathways said: "This is great example of various NHS organisations in the East Midlands coming together and working as a team to provide a more integrated approach to urgent and emergency care."
