Two thousand GPs using GP2GP

2nd November 2007

The NHS Connecting for Health GP2GP project has reached a twin milestone.

More than 2000 practices are now using the software and the 25,000 mark has been passed for GP2GP record transfers.

GP2GP enables patients’ electronic health records to be transferred directly and securely between practices. With more practices becoming GP2GP-enabled, it is expected that new patients will increasingly find that their GPs will have available all the information they need about their medical history and health status more readily to hand.
