UNAIDS new envoy

24052006_naomiwatts1L.jpgBritish actress and Oscar nominee Naomi Watts addresses a UN Headquarters press conference following her acceptance of an appointment as a Special Representative for the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) in May. 

Naomi Watts is best known for her roles in the movies King Kong, The Ring and Mulholland Drive.

As UNAIDS Special Representative, Ms. Watts expects to use her talent and profile to raise AIDS awareness and give greater voice to the needs of people living with HIV worldwide.
