Virus breakthrough stops cancer

Researchers from the University of Leeds have discovered that white blood cells which carry viruses can help to destroy growing cancers.

Professor Alan Melcher, a scientist for Cancer Research UK, used a method in which white blood cells transported viruses into places where cancer cells were accumulating. The viruses attack and destroy the cancer cells.
