Vouchers for NHS opinions

8th October 2008

NHS Waltham Forest in London is offering £25 vouchers to local people who get involved in improving their health service.

The vouchers will be given to the first 500 people who turn up to the public event to discuss local healthcare at Walthamstow Town Hall. The trust has insisted spending £12,500 as an incentive on the vouchers - which can be redeemed at local shops - was "good value for money". Trust chair Afzal Akram said working with local people was crucial to improve health.
