watchdog fumes over plan to ace psych ward beds

9th August 2007
Plans that would see "fewer than 50 per cent" of beds axed on a pshyciatric ward at Birmingham Children's Hospital were criticised by city's health watchdog yesterday.  The proposed reduction comes as Ward 3 is set to close to pave the way for a private sector run research unit, with patients being moved around the Steelhouse Lane site.
