We spend less than 40 minutes a day eating
25th July 2011Researchers have found that people in Britain spend only 39 minutes per day eating their meals.
The study showed lunch took just 12 minutes and 49 seconds on average, with breakfast around seven minutes and supper only 19 minutes. Psychologist Dr Richard Woolfson, from President cheese who carried out the research, said: "We now live in a very food-orientated society, where food documentaries, celebrity chefs and cook books have never been more prolific. However, our study shows Britons are not taking the time to properly enjoy their meals."
