Welsh health boards to directly employ practice nurses

6th April 2009

According to the document A Community Nursing Strategy for Wales, published in March, money would allow practices to give student nurses placements. Eileen Munson, chair of the Welsh Practice Nurse Association, said: "We still have nurses who don’t even have contracts. Lots of nurses, because of the current climate, are having to self fund and take annual leave to train."
