Whooping cough cases treble

The Department of Health has released data which shows cases of whooping cough in England have nearly trebled since 2003.

The information reveals there were 1,071 cases of whooping cough in 2007, almost double the 539 cases in 2006 and almost treble the cases in 2003. The number of cases of tuberculosis (TB) rose by 17%, from 6,741 in 2003 to 7,862 in 2006.
