Winter vomiting bug guidelines released

29th October 2008

Schools and care homes in the West Midlands are being urged to use a new 'toolkit' to tackle the norovirus bug.

Devised by the Health Protection Agency it provides information and resources on how to prevent the winter vomiting bug and how to control outbreaks.

Symptoms usually last between 12 and 60 hours, with the sudden onset of nausea followed by projectile vomiting and diarrhoea.
