Woman free of allergies after 12 years

8th July 2011

A former caterer survived on meals of rice after developing acute food allergies 12 years ago.

Micaela Stafford, 53, from Normanton-on-Soar in Leicestershire, said the pain caused by her intolerances had left her desperate and "wanting to die", although her diet is now changing for the better. She is now widening the diet she has, with help from a nutritionist and is now feeling the benefits. Ms Stafford said doctors had been unable to understand what was causing her migraines and sickness.
