Woman has to travel between two hospitals

A female patient who has age-related macular degeneration is receiving treatment at two different hospitals which are 20 miles apart.

Each eye is being treated at a separate hospital - the right eye in Coventry and the left one in Birmingham. A spokesman for University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust stated that they were experiencing high demands for treatment which had caused "capacity issues".
